/Medical Assistant/Business Office (Full time – 32 hours a week)
REQUIREMENTS:
· Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Education Program
· Registered or Certified as Medical Assistant
· CPR Certification for medical professional within six months of employment
· Ambulatory health care experience preferred
· Experience working with Electronic Medical Records required
· Ability to work in both clinical and administrative areas
· General understanding of basic diagnosis and procedure codes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage patient flow, anticipate the needs of providers and patients
Gather information or medical records that are needed prior to patient’s appointment
Greet patients using their preferred name
Obtain vital signs and recheck if abnormal when appropriate
Gather history on walk in patients and consult with provider
Obtain patient’s chief complaint and patient-centered personal information to share with the provider and health care team prior to patient-provider interaction
Prep patient and room according to rooming standards
Complete appropriate forms per patient care standards
Stock exam rooms and order necessary supplies
Perform the office procedures including but not limited to: Immunizations; role-appropriate injections; dressing changes, suture removal; ear irrigation’s; nebulizer treatments, and recheck blood pressure
Perform in-house diagnostic tests as appropriate including but not limited to: Strep; UA; pregnancy test; EKG; Glucose test; ABI; Spirometry; peak flow; holter monitor; stool occult testing; TB skin testing
Make patient follow up calls or email
Management of labs including but not limited to: perform venipuncture; order lab tests online; reconcile lab results in EMR; send letters or call with lab results to patients
Quality activities including but not limited to: preventative health ticklers; health maintenance reminder letters; immunization management; CLIA logs; equipment maintenance

Register and increase utilization of Next MD.
Behavioral Health Coach (Part Time)
REQUIREMENTS: Masters Degree in Counseling Related Field (M.S.W., L.L.P., L.P.C.)
Current License in the State of Michigan
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Provide assessment, brief intervention, group visits, education and consultation for members needing primary care behavioral health services with an emphasis on behavioral and lifestyle management.
Provide health counseling/coaching for high-risk members using rehabilitative and behavioral change model.
Provide care consistent with Group Practice Patient Care Standards, Guidelines.
Actively participate on Primary Care Multidisciplinary Management Teams.
